The boy in black jeans
It was not about the way he looked when he smiled
it was about the thing that caused him to smile.
It wasn't about the sound of his laugh like thunder cracking across the sky
but what caused him to laugh
It wasn't the way his eyes sparked like a pool full of sapphire
but the person who made them sparkle.
She was a mess.
The girl that made him act that way.
The girl that he worshiped and bowed to every command
she was tiresome to love
the girl who took everything and gave nothing back.
The girl who loved on the inside
too afraid to get trapped
It wasn't about his about his voice,
low and sweet like honey
It was the words that captivated her
It wasn't the feeling of his hands soft and smooth
it was the comfort they brought
It wasn't the strength of his muscles
it was the security of his arms
She saw past the beautiful exterior
looking in on an even more beautiful interior
she didn't know how to love
so she let go.
