Love in Time
My love sits across the room in a wooden rocking chair
The warm fireplace illuminates her face at night
A cascading waterfall of curls, she plays with her hair
Her eyes are the size of the moon, mesmerized by the light
She is so soft, so fragile, I dare not to breathe around her
Yet she is mightier than the ocean, strength of an ox
Being with her makes me dizzy, she makes my stomach stir
My heart beat sounds like a hundred overactive clocks
I will be here if you cry, tell you I love you through the tears
I will be here through the stress, tell you we fit better than a glove
Although we have been together for forty-five years
There is no passion truer than that of your first love

My grandparents inspired this poem. I want to have the love they do when I am older.
