Chalk Drawings
The chalk scrapes across the pavement,
In a smooth motion.
The pretty color coming together,
Creating a masterpiece.
It took years to draw.
Everyday being changed slightly.
The chalks world stayed clear,
A constant ray of shine.
The storm finally rolled in,
after years of peace.
The rain ruined the drawing,
It ruined the fifteen years of work.
The colors were no longer in a pretty order.
A petty order.
It was still beautiful,
But never the same.
