Sacrifice
  Wave after wave crashes
on the shore, leaving it a
  wasteland of the once thriving
life.
The life tries to endure as the
  next wave;
  just as intimidating
  as the rest, comes crashing
like a battleaxe onto its enemy.
  The beach clings on
as the ocean pelts against it, but
  can the beach prevail?
No
  it continues even though it
knows it cannot surpass against an
  enemy of such power,
of such strength, with such inevitability of
failure.
But that is why it lives, because it
  believes that the life inland
deserves to be spared for now.
