Divulgence
She never could figure out what drew her to him, like a moth to a flame
All she knew was that it was he who drowned her in that peaceful sea
He who caused such unrest in her heart
He who would never be into someone like her
But she was still drawn to him like a moth to a flame
So drawn to him that
All she could do was hope to keep her feelings hidden until the day she mustered up the courage to confess
He was the class bad boy
But if anyone were to dissect him
They’d discover he was the exact opposite of the renegade he pretended to be
He wasn’t as cautious as her
Instead he was daring when it came to just about everything
when he spoke to people he made sure to do nothing but get to the gist of the conversation
Making him seem succinct
But it’s not that he wanted to behave that way
It’s just that he became accustomed to being alone and rejected
too afraid to let anyone in
So scared to be broken again
But he would try for her sake to change and become the person she desired so he could one day say with confidence
But little did he know she was trying, just like him, to open her mouth and say...
‘I love you too’
