Differently
I know that I’m different
I’ve known that since birth
You don’t need to point that out
But I know I’m no outcast on this earth
I know I see things differently
You see purple, I see green
I see a rainbow, you see rain
You see dirty, I see clean
Most people don’t get my logic
They look at me and laugh
But I know two means two
And if I’m one, you’re a half
I don’t see the pain you see
I see endurance and power
But when I do share what I see
Others around me hide and cower
Not only do some look down on me
But some look to me as a king
If only they saw my kingdom in ruins
And see the thread to which I cling
Maybe I’m a bit selfish
Maybe my words have stung
But I know I’ll see the Golden Gates
And see to how little I clung
If I do die, the world will grieve me so
But if you pass, the world might ignore
The people will wonder where I went
But I know we’ll both meet the Savior we adore
You don’t need to say I’m different
I’ve known that since my birth
But I do know I’ll see my Savior
For He died upon this Earth
