The Girl
You basically walk around here with a frown
making everyone avoid you.
Don’t you ever wonder why you don’t have friends?
This girl always pitied herself
hoping for help from someone but never wants it.
Like a quote from Romeo and Juliet,
“A flower being poisoned from the inside.”
When she runs into problems
she quietly suffers.
You think no one will ever understand
like your favorite bands.
Her mind is dull and blank,
her mouth is sewn shut.
Speaking her mind is forbidden.
She smiles in front of a broken mirror
pretending to smile.
Her mind's like a broken furnace burning
with uncontrollable fire.
Her voice is like a distorted boom box
no one wants to hear it.
Her words are like a scratched tape
they’re stuck on repeat.
Almost everything this girl owns and loves is gone
only to be left with a small bear.
You may think this girl is shady and fake
but no, she’s real
because this sewn up girl is speaking.
