Diamonds
Diamonds are a girls best friend,
but it's a ruthless friendship.
There is no real love, and no depth,
A diamond makes you pay to be with it,
and constantly steals attention.
Girls who love diamonds,
are just as see through as the rock on their hand.
It’s a poor excuse of a worthwhile purchase
because they are not unique,
unlike a real friend who you could get for free.
Diamonds can be stolen, or damaged, or lost.
Friendship can’t be bought, sold, or traded.
Those two seem like opposites.
Kinda like me saying the best friend is no friend.
I’m kinda glad diamonds are here though
They let me know who all the girls are that would
base our relationship on the size of the ring.
And not on the memories, or laughter we’ve shared.
Diamonds are a girls best friend.
Real people are a woman's best friend.

My friend wanted me to write a rant about a random word. "Diamonds" was what was given to me. The more I wrote the more it rung true. I hope it makes you think.
