We swing on a swing set, as adults do;
Hardly gripping the chains that
Creak as loud as cats
In an alleyway
I fly a bit higher than you
Throwing myself, and caution
Into the wind,
In favor of the butterflies
That used to be in my stomach
When I was younger
At length,
I let go and
Land on my feet
Meters away.
Holding on has never
Been my
Specialty.
