Nightfall & Daybreak
Darkness waits to fall,
Chasing the setting sun,
Fading the painted sky
To the blackness of Night.
Icy hands grasp the air,
Stifling the breath of man,
Smothering the warmth of day.
Blind in the absence of light,
Men lose themselves to the
Whispers carried on the wind,
Bellowing the secrets of Darkness.
The Heavens above lost
In the void of Twilight,
Their holy glow diminished
With the weight of black sky.
Time passes by, as
Black dims to morning grey.
Light erupts from the east,
Turning the darkness of night into
Mere shadows on the ground.
The sun rises high,
Golden and bright.
While, the moon begins to fade,
Vanishing into daybreaks blue sky.
