Many people try to put me down

Many people have to tell fairy tales, just to fail once more
The ones who stand with me, are the ones who mean the most.

They try to take us down just because of our race.
When the only thing they can do is talk about our trace.
The things we left behind back in the olden days.
But still bring up in these new golden days.
Golden days with joy and freedom
But then again with hatred and abhorrence.
Despite the hate I say it loud and proud
