Serenity
A battered freighter
can serve as serenity
for those who
have lost everything
it exists as their purpose
Keep flying
giving reason for living
transporting people
cargo
job after job
keeping the crew peaceful
happy
secure
For them
it's all they have
and it’s all they will have
but, it’s all they need
as they traverse the big black
of the ‘verse
not looking back
