The cruel world

As the sun shines brightly

My heart beats dully

Leaving a small acheas I wonder

Why this world is so cruel.

Why all the best people are taken to early

And the ones ruining everything

Are allowed to stay.

The promise of freedom,

Of no pain and no fear.

No anger nor hatred

are shown anywhere.

The promise of this is to sweet to resist

plus getting to see the ones that we lost is a good twist.

We point a gun to our heads

As we work up the courage

by telling ourselves that this is the answer.

We mumble a goodbye, to this cruel cruel world

As we pull the trigger back.

The metallic clang of the bullet being forced into place is the last thing we hear

Before the loud bang sound echos through the whole house.

The blood it sprays red

Over the linolium floor.

The brain matter spatters the wall, ruining the decor.

A loud scream slices the air

as our mother awakens

A surprised sob escapes her as she sees the body

of her precious little child.

A loud scream of why splits the air

as she tries to understand

how much pain we had been in

and what had caused it

what had driven us to the point that we felt death was the answer.

the demons we'd felt

fly into her brain

and tell her that her life is nothing

without her precious child.
