The friend I had

We were best friends
We used to hangout
We used to talk loud
We used to laugh
Until...
A sudden wedge came between us
I tried to fight,but was it worth it?
were you worth the strength?
I cried
but were you worth the tears?
You let it come between us
left me in the dark when I thought you were my light
You told me nothing would come between our friendship
I believed you...
I couldn't hate you
I didnt know what to feel when I saw
we grew apart...
We see each other daily
But all we say is hi
Now tell me!
what happed to the friend I had?

This poem was inspired by one of my best friends,we were really close until another person came between us,that really tore me apart i had no one else to talk to as much as i spoke to her. We were so close that we knew everything about each other,she was like a sister to me. When i realised we had grown apart i decided to write this poem what i didnt plan was for her to find it and read it. After she read it we got close again and we promised never to leave the other in the dark!
