I took a deep breath and listened to the old bray of my heart. I am. I am. I am.

Sylvia Plath

A girl cloaked in lavender

Lathered in cleanliness,

Sweet as blossom, falling so peacefully

Laced through my hair, like her fingers.

Trembling bouquet of roses,

Masked by pureness and pleasure,

Laid out as plainly as a pack of cards,

If so, you would be my Queen of Hearts,

Your admirable aching presence

So easily radiating love for all,

Yet contrasted with this heartbreak,

This confusion in my chest like a dent.

Things are shuffled, shaking lines in your mind.

I struggle to place things together,

Your disposition scatters mine,

Although your familiar scent, so kind,

Lillies and raindrops lead me into morning,

A path of no recollection and new meaning.

Perhaps that'd help our unforgiving souls,

And introduce me somewhere

nobody knows my name but you.

The author's comments:

About my first crush on a girl. A lot of feelings, basically, and quite a scary concept, but she makes me drift away. I wanted to make a sort of dreamy theme to this and she reminds me of flowers, so this was heavily hinted.
