Laugh
I dreamt that I made you laugh.
I dreamt I said something witty, or did something comical, and it made you laugh.
I dreamt that your eyes crinkled first.
Then your nose twitched.
And finally, the corners of your mouth curved and your lip pulled upwards.
I dreamt that you tried not to laugh at first, that all that escaped you was a few short snickers through your nose and a suppressed giggle.
Then you finally chuckled a little bit.
Just a little.
I dreamt that you finally laughed, out loud (and I mean loud when I say it) and with a full-on, pearly-white smile.
All your beautiful teeth, all lined up with that lovely laugh that escaped your lips, those tinkling bells that I dreamt.
I dreamt that I made you laugh.
But when I woke up, you were laughing with somebody else.
