Everyone goes to Heaven
Dogs are like family.
They love you
Care about you
Wonder where you are
When you’re not there
Just like humans
We meet them as a surprise
Sometimes on purpose, or accident
But like family
They must go
Whether they are old or young.
Someone will have to
explain where they went
We watched them grow up
Now we watch them go
But remember
You loved them.
Cared for them.
And if you're wondering
Where they'll go
Just like our loved ones
Dogs will be given their wings
And fly to heaven.

I was inspired to write this poem after the death of my nephews dog. He did understand how people went to heaven, but not dogs. So I wrote this poem in hopes that people can understand that dogs go to heaven like people.
