"In Your Debt"
I have this friend
They are neither boy, nor girl
But they speak to me
Yes they speak to me often
Every day, in fact
This friend of mine has never left my side
Even through the worst times
They’ve never given me grief
Or have told me I’m not good enough
They have given me a purpose
They have shown me that I’m here for a reason
And that reason
Is to convey their message
Shine light on those who have fallen
To where I once feared I would go
Show them that they, like me, have a purpose
A reason to be here
A reason to look forward to what’s next
Because you, my friend
Are the reason
Many of us are still here
So for that, I am eternally grateful
And I am forever in your debt
Thank you, Music

I have always expressed myself through music. But it wasn't until very recently that I realized how much music has helped me through my life. Under all the stresses of trying to prepare for college, and ultimatley the rest of my life, music has always been there to help me cope. Eventually I realized that I wouldn't be happy doing anything except music for the rest of my life. I want to help people with my music like other people have helped me.
