Cigarette Of lies
My heart burns
Coughing up the smoke
Of your lies
You put it between your lips
It’s not deadly till it’s lit
A suffocating smoke called lies.
You breathe in the deadly fog,
And it inches down your throat
Like a chemical of words,
Till it reaches your lungs.
It wraps its finger around you
And squeezes,
‘Till there is no truth left in you.
It’s called lies
It doesn’t seem so deadly
‘Till you feel the chemicals,
Thick layer covering your heart.
Your heart is broken, turned black.
And just won’t run how it used to.
It escaped from your pale lips,
Causing others to cough.
You’re killing others as you light that cigarette,
But you’re addicted and just can’t stop.
