The Airline Lost my Suitcase
The same one that we noted
was the same color as the night sky
we saw as we flew over
stargazer-less cities,
for the first time, together,
realizing that we had become a part
of that suitcase-colored blue sky.
Where were we going?
I only remember that we stayed up
all night to watch the window,
because the real vacation was 30,000 feet up,
in the country that belongs to everyone,
just you and me and the man sitting in 30c,
who brought his own spare ribs
and took your armrest.
