Silent Breeze

There once was a man

who flew with the silent

breeze,

whose thoughts traveled with the raging seas.

With the breath of life,

he came to be.

He was the light for all to see;

my very own blessing in

disguise

like an angel that soared

throughout the night skies.

Except,

there was one thing about him

that I cannot describe.

But I just knew

every time I looked into his

eyes.

He only wished to do good

despite the fact he was hurting

inside.

His tears poured like rain.

I was his shoulder to cry on

when in came the pain.

Yet I never uncerstood

how he continued to do good

towards those who hurt him;

to those around him.

Despite his tears

that fell for years,

he continued to fly.

One day he came by

with mroe tears in his eyes.

He ran into my arms,

and began to say his

goodbyes.

I embraced him in return,

and asked him why.

He told me it was his time.

There was nothing I could say

to prevent him

from walking away.

I begged and pleaded.

I got down on my knees,

and told him he was all I

needed,

but it was no use.

He said he's been used,

and too far abused

by the people in this world.

I held him one last time,

wishing the moment was just a

dream.

When I let him go,

I noticed his eyes began to

beam.

It was like heaven's rays

were shining upon me.

I knew he was meant to leave,

but I didn't want to believe

that we could never be.

Now when I listen

to that silent breeze,

or whenever I look out

upon the raging seas,

I come to find that

you're always here with me.

You never left,

it's so clear to see.
