Where I'm From
I’m from a start of a new generation
where old and new creates a different view,
Is old better than new?
I am from the bottom of the tree,
where three sisters and a brother roam over me.
Games and life lessons.
I am from the teaching of the old,
where mistakes and doubt won’t bring me down.
No is not an answer!
I am from the midwest wilderness Wisconsin
where chilling snow can turn into blazing heat in one day,
“Is it really that bad? Yup.”
I am from the roaring rumbles,
where muscle cars race into my life,
Going to car shows weekly is not only a hobby.
I am from growing up to fast,
where work ethic, logic, and adult hood came to fast,
Obtained manager at the age of 18.
I am from an akhundelar (“Tip of the spear”),
where the youngest does not mean I’m the smallest.
The youngest and taking charge
I am from cunning and helping,
where family means everything to me.
Asthma, Surgery's, Back issues, and medical problems that keeps us closer.
I am from tragic memories,
where saving my dad’s life mentally stabbed me.
From a chainsaw cutting his arm off.
I am from respectful in the shadows,
where people respect men for my actions,
Silence, patients, waiting.
I’m from the new generation,
where maybe the old still clings to me,
or maybe I still cling to the old.
