Green to orange, white blanket, clear drizzle, red beams:
A repetition seen through the framework,
but a year older every time.
I see my reflection through the fine piece of glass.
It is a camera of my past
and will capture my future endeavours-
My first steps, riding a bike, and making snow angels.
Going off to school, moving truck, new neighbors.
Many faces reflected back,
and some faces vanish.
The cold winters and hot summers over a span,
thunder and lightning, but the sun comes through the clouds;
seized and revealed for the world to see.
An image caught as I walk ahead to my future
leaving the past behind.

A romantic poem written to reflect on the past as the high school years end and to capture who has stuck with you for all of these years.
