You got up
You left without saying goodbye
You got in your care and drove away

Now you’re living a whole new life
A life I didn’t know about

By somebody who was against you the whole time
Boy did that bring a big smile to their face
And tore a rip through my heart
I didn’t know what to do
Be happy or sad
Or be happy for you.
From that day on I’ve never trusted you ever again
I feel so misplaced when I’m with you and your new family
I just go with the flow
But in my head I’m saying “This person is a fake”
I miss the way we used to suck on the lemons
I miss the way we used to eat cereal
I miss the way we used to be
I miss the old us
But I know we can not go back to that
So all I have is old memories of us
That is slowly fading away
With the you I once knew
