One Who,,,
One who shields me from the scorching beams of the sun
One who defends me like a lioness defends her cub
One who gives me sage advice whenever I need
One who comforts me whenever I feel blue
One who would stroke my back
  Whether I win or lose
One who would hold my hand
  Be it hail or storm
One who stays up all night
One who sacrifices all her comfort
One who does not say still, a word of complain
  She is my mother
Who did not just give me birth
  She gave me life.

I wrote this poem exclusively for my mother to express my love for her and laud her spirit of self-sacrifice.
