Dear Diabetes
Dear Diabetes
You're that stray dog I fed and will never leave me alone
Dear Diabetes
You're that spoiled child that only wants more and more and more
Dear Diabetes
You're that needy girlfriend I've never had
That keeps texting and calling me everyday when I wake up, before I eat breakfast, before I eat lunch, when I get home from school, before I eat dinner, before I go to bed
Dear Diabetes
You're that bully that keeps pushing me down
But everyday I get back up
Dear Diabetes
You are that personal trainer that has turned my overweight father into the strong, pseudo muscly man he is now
Dear Diabetes
You are the best friend I never asked for
Every decision I make includes you
Every conversation includes you
You are always with me night in day
You are always in my mind
Dear Diabetes
You are that one true love I've yet to find
Who I day dream about
Who I constantly think about
but, Diabets
I'll never let you be my bully
I'll never let you knock me down
You'll always be my personal trainer, pushing me to my limit always
You'll always be my stray dog
my clingy girlfriend
my best friend
my one true love
the bane of my existance
The reason I cry
I cheer
I laugh
I cry
I get happy
I become sad
or grumpy
or upset
but, Diabetes
You'll never be my crutch

I'm just a diabetic guy who likes to play bass and sing. Hopefully, people will see what I see in this, where no matter what you're crutch may be, it has control of your life, so instead of being upset about it, take how it is and make the best out of it and become stronger from it.
