Where I’m From
I’m from a new start as a first born baby
I’m from a standard suburbia living a luxurious life
Visiting family every year, in the most fridge chill to the beating sun
Baking cookies ad making beef jerky
Sitting around a card table and trying to keep a stone cold face
Failing
Laughing up a storm, watching some classics
I’m from ice fishing and snowball fights
To water skiing and gun ranges
I’m from the everglades and crocodiles
Shaking Mickey’s hand, and falling down the Tower of Terror
I’m from the golden state
And escaping Alcatraz
I’m from family trips to the strip
Where strippers and gambling aren’t all the city has to offer
I’m from a family
Not of parents, brothers, and sisters
But from all relatives and friends
