Living in a world
Living in a world
Living in a world,
were guns can now be verbal.
Society,
putting red dots on our skins like a rash.
Using ill-advised tactics,
to make sure we obey,
not follow.
Living in a world,
where justice is corrupt,
those intended for peace,
are now the harbingers of war.
Living in a world,
where a 9 year old boy can get shot and killed,
along with countless others.
We pretend to have horse vision,
seeing only what concerns us.
Living in a world,
where a mother’s heartbeat can calm the stir in her son,
or a father’s hug can elevate the spirit of his daughter.
Living in a world,
where it doesn’t feel like we're living,
just existing,
a feeble attempt by those who try.
Living in a world,
Society tries to break people apart like they’re siamese
And if everything is made in America is made in China,
are we chinese?
while technology turns everyone to zombies.
Living in a world,
where hate overpowers love,
lust is stronger than loyalty,
greed is king,
power is a matter of opinion,
trust,
huh,
that left along time ago,
where people are fed up of the lies that are spread like wildfire,
burning all those it touches,
Mothers are acting like fathers,
because of cowards,
who know how to put it in,
but don’t understand,
lack the ability to grasp,
to stick it in for better or worse.
Instead they run off like road-runner.
Leaving the next generation flawed,
there are some things a mother just can’t do.
Living in a world,
where the definition of weird and normal are obscure.
Living in a world,
where police say freeze and shoot him before he try to leave.
Living in a world,
Where the price of living is rising,
where we focus on others before taking care of our own.
Living in a world,
where mothers are scared to send their children to school,
fearing it might get shot up by another disturbed person.
Living in a world,
where we live in a dream of past regrets,
driven to the edge by the confusion of bees.
Living in a world...
