Rise and shine, b****
Time to get out of bed and pretend you give a-
Shoot. I didn't do my gov. homework, isn’t that rich
But it’s hard to do your homework when you’d rather be in a ditch
A scream two floors up tells me it’s time to clean, call me Cinderella
Just subtract the glass slippers and the happily ever after
Wouldn’t be even considered a beautiful disaster
Because real beauty lies where no one looks
On the pages in the words of their favorite books
So I’ll sit here and enjoy the show
Watching acrobats twist their words
Peering at lions jumping through flames
So I will remain
Enjoying these stunts
Just a bunch of clowns putting up fronts
Their painted smiles don’t fool me, not once
Because everyone's the same
Every human feels pain
Even the ones the put me through it every.single.day.
You step out your car
Now at the front of the school
Come on girl, you know the rules
Forget your morals
Forget who you are
You’ve just stepped on high school grounds
In here you’ll find teachers who fail to do their jobs
Devilish eyes on faces of heartthrobs
Your mind may be a mess
But you must do what they expect
Study with a smile
Seems like they're missing the facts
kids could care less about the teacher's opinion
They're too busy worrying about what the person next to them is thinking
By 5th period any confidence you had should be shrinking
Maybe it will change
Maybe it will get better
Or maybe I’ll get lucky
and won’t see a morning after
