From a Lover, A Response
I also sometimes fall into a heavenly filter of candescence
to a known man or another from their rapturous beauty -
From only a limited window of really seeing somebody
toil their bones - watching the bend of their back, to see
their worth beyond the time's prejudices and the each
of every generation's self throning mindset - the former
is what they project onto those that they have hold - I too
am fatally human, mixed up in all my corrupt passions but
still more than a placid commoner (because nobody is),
male form or female form, slave or unthankful free woman -
I, same as you, am in awe of the unyielding universe-grand
in how it births and rebirths itself in the ceremonial parade
it booms alive - Admittedly, I am guilty of looking upon it
all too possessively and indirectly thinking that the sun and the foliage it feeds was mine - all mine - and that I was the sole receiver of its' euphoria, bodies, and melancholia all the same.
