No Longer
no longer was the innocent girl
no longer was the girl who laughed without acting
that girl was dead
and in her place
was another.
she stood over the innocent one’s cold body and smiled
a cold and hopeless smile
for she knew
one day
she would see the innocent girl again.
because one day
she would be just like the innocent little girl
dead and lifeless on the floor.
so
as she brought the blade to her wrist once more
she smiled
because soon her pain would be over.
no more
bullies calling her names
parents fighting as she tried to sleep
hatred.
just a cold, hopeless smile
until the end of her days.
