I remember
January 26, 2016
I remember getting ready for my parents wedding.
The hot curling iron so close to my head.
wanting to play but I couldn’t wrinkle my dress.
I remember my aunts exhausted face
as she lay on what could be her death bed.
The beeping of the machines
the family weeping
I Remember the joy along with the pain
I will always remember it is what's best.
