Poetry is as free as a bird
Calming like the night sky
Soothing like to the touch of your mother's hand upon your forehead.
Poetry is putting your feelings on paper
So others know they are not alone
Is is no longer fearing your insecurities
But knowing our insecurities are what make you human.
Poetry is not made for you nor I
It’s made so others can feel your compassion
Poetry is a way of others to relate and feel accepted
And know that you are not alone.
