this place is a prison

we don't even get yard time
we eat overpriced food that's gross and unhealthy
but there's no other option
water is hard to come by
the drinking fountains are either
broken
or have such little water pressure you can barely get a drop
if you're lucky, the water will be warm
we’re forced to do our daily work
but we can’t choose what work we want to do
watch out for authority, they’re always right
watch out for the top of the food chain, they're looking to pick on you
were packed on a bus like pigs
sometimes 2-3 to a seat
no gum, no food, no drinks
but another hour to go
this place isn't any penitentiary my friends
because I have done no crime
school is the only place i'm expected to be
otherwise i'll be left stranded
this is supposedly preparing us, but really,
its conforming us
it's like a washing machine
they toss us all in
give it a spin
but instead of us all coming out as perfect spheres,
we have cuts, bruises,
some even had their limbs ripped off!
some have damage less than others when they graduate
but we're all going to be on the same mission when we leave this hell hole
try to repair ourselves
put ourselves together,
and find ourselves

but we could have been doing it all along.
