I lay here on my bed
In the dark
In the silence
The air heavy with candle smoke

A light extinguished
A life cut off
I watch the wick smolder
I watch the twisting candle smoke

A room now dark
All light diminished
I see nothing in an abyss
But only candle smoke

Floating in nothingness
A cloudless flight
I'm drifting through stars
Floating through the candle smoke

Unable to breathe
Unable to see
Just left here in space
Breathing in the candle smoke

I decided to write this after I sat in my room, thinking, and my candle went out. I was left in the dark. I love the smell of candle smoke and I love to watch it, so I decided to try to write how I feel about it. And here we are!
