The Fall I was 15
The red leaves rustled and crunched under my heavy boots.
My golden curls swirled around my freckled face in the breeze.
Crisp air filled my lungs as I made my trek.
The same one everyday that Fall, until snow covered the ground.
I wrapped my navy coat tight around myself
and stuffed my gloved hands into the pockets.
That was the best time of my life.
And no matter how cold it got
I felt warm.
