Recipe for Growing Up
1 barrel of confidence
1 cup of selflessness
a sprinkle of selfishness
4 tbls of patience
a packet of lessons
2 cups of self respect
First, start with the barrel of confidence, because you will need that for everything. Then, add in the cup of selflessness. You need to be able to put others before yourself. Stir. Add 1 tablespoon of patience, that needs to be evenly spread throughout your life. Let all those things simmer for awhile. Learn to be patient with others that irritate you. Then sprinkle in the selfishness, you need to take a break and have time for yourself, put your feet up.
Next throw in that packet of lessons. This packet comes mostly from your high school years. Speaking of high school, add 2 more tablespoons of patience. Also, add the 2 cups of self respect. Mix all of those things in with the confidence; all of those things will get you through high school. Once all ingredients are evenly diversified, leave it on the stove to stew. You might need to add more ingredients later in life and you will always need the mix ready to use.
Adulthood
Always learning, there’s a new lesson everyday
Don’t ever give up on yourself
Unusual amount of stress; mountains upon mountains
Life being thrown at you and never slowing down for anyone
Taking a break and putting your feet up every once in awhile
Hold on tight and enjoy the wild and crazy ride
Only one chance at this life, don't screw it up
Ornate in its own way
Don’t take one thing for granted
