Bully
Who do you think you are?
Degrading and tormenting her like that
Is that how you lift yourself up?
You drag others down?
What makes you think you are better?
Is it the tired bags under her eyes?
She is a 4.0 student who works almost full time
School by day, work by night, sleep whenever possible
What makes her different from you?
Is it her clothes?
She wears hand-me-down clothes from her siblings
Her parents can’t afford name brand, so she settles for less
Do you think this makes you cooler?
Her dignity and confidence is being destroyed by you
She is afraid to speak up, afraid to speak out
What will happen to her if she does?
What have you done to her?
She lies to family and friends
Cries herself silently to sleep, but puts on a smile every day
So no one will see the pain and sorrow behind her eyes
Who are you to judge her?
You don’t know the things she’s been through
What right do you have?
You don’t know how she feels on a daily basis
You, Bully, have NO right to judge.
Deep down, she is a passionate, caring girl
Maybe if you tried getting to know her,
You would rethink your diminishing actions.
