Thunder Doesn't Scare Me
The reason why thunder scares me is because it is so loud.
It reminds of the crashes, the banging, these harsh, loud sounds
The crashes of lamps falling, suitcases hitting the ground.
The yelling from the parents, this horrid sound.
The banging of the walls as my father’s angry fist slams down.
These memories that are simply triggered by one simple sound.
The sound that fills my head, the sound that makes me want to lie here dead.
Thunder is beautiful when I am not by myself, but when no ones around…
That is when I hate this god awful sound.
