I am the beautiful nightmare in your head
I rest during the day
and come back with the blackness of night.
The shiver sent down your spine,
the unexpected jolt at a loud noise.
I am the monsters under your bed

I am the phobia that limits your dreams,
I am the anxiety you can’t control
I am the dismay to your day
I am the fright of night
