As I lay on my back
The grass tickles my neck
And the bees orbit my head
The powder blue sky is being absorbed by dense white cotton clouds
Sun beams fill every crevice between the clouds and the sky
My forehead is wrinkled by my squinting eyes
I observe the fluorescent cotton balls floating above me

I see a castle holding a mighty King and Queen
I see a cat chasing it’s tail
I see a ship sailing to a new land
I see a whale breaching out into the endless azure sky

I am taken to a new world
Buzzing with imagination
and engulfed in creativity

I now stare into the midnight sky
The clouds I have been pondering over have become nonexistent
I still lay on my back
The grass is still tickling my neck
The bees no longer have interest in my sweet smelling hair
I have nothing left to observe but the glistening stars
Whose shapes are more difficult to identify
I will watch as the sky changes from cobalt to the powder blue again
And I will wait for the clouds to come
And see where they take me tomorrow.
