You Choose
The voices in your head do not make your choices
It's the everlasting repetition that makes your decisions
It's the organ that pumps the blood that you bleed
The organ that slows to a stop if choose not to breathe
Your heart
Your heart is the one that feels every tug every strain
Your heart is your compass that sometimes leads to pain
Because your heart is naive but you know that
Because sometimes following your heart can feel like combat
With every blow every hit every strike but it still beats
Now tell me does that sound weak
Does that sound untrustworthy
The organ that represents you in all your glory
No
But these doubts that you have will never end
They'll manifest, form, twist, and bend
What if the choices I make don't lead to the path I wanna take
What if my actions have consequences and my future's at stake
Isn't that enough reason to be afraid
You shouldn't have to live scared of the next day
Your choices should be made with all your heart's confidence
They shouldn't be affected by your brain's incompetence
So when it's time to choose
Close your mind and let your heart loose

Having to choose what you want to do after you graduate is a very difficult decision and is something I am currently trying to overcome.
