Beauty is a Beast
Be skinny.
Have curves.
She's too boney.
She's too fat.
In a world of impossible standards which do we be?
Women feel the pressures of society more than men
So we tend to hide behind the curtain
When in reality we are all built strong
Healthy is skinny;
Skinny is not always healthy
I'm short like a wick,
Strong like a mountain
And I'm not perfect
But I am unapologetically proud.
Proud to accept the things I cannot change
Proud to not shame any body type
Proud to recognize we can't control every aspect of the body we’re given
So I choose to accept my muscular legs
And strong arms
Because strong doesn't make you look like a man in a woman's world
It makes the men look like boys in a woman's world.
