Reading Eyes

A true friend
looks at your eyes
While everybody else
looks at your smile
Eyes are windows
Eyes reveal all
All the emotional blows
All the emotional falls
That’s all I’ve done
for the past few years
Read the eyes
of my fellow peers
I see the sadness
the anger
the madness
Next time
I see someone look at a smile
I’ll take them for a fool
Or suggest a different survival style

This has actually been my "survival style" for middle school, because it helps me get to the root of my friends problems and help them solve them.
