Limitless information, but we're never seeking to learn.

What's going on around the world, to us, is no concern.

We turn on the Kardashians and set aside our books,

Forget about our knowledge, at least we'll have our looks.

We'll protest over coffee cups, but never over wars,

The government knows best, we should just let it run its course.

We memorize to pass our tests and keep up a high score,

Attendance records, perfect, but the edcuation's poor.

Every question's stupid, never voice an observation,

People are so sensitive the truth upsets the nation.

People are standing in the streets cold and on their own,

and if we stop to help them out we let the whole world know.

Gardening is lame, trees don't have free wifi.

Who cares about the oxygen, without instagram we'll die.

The whales being mistreated, how could we have known?

They like those indoor pools, where we go to see their shows?

The government wouldn't lie, they care about us citizens.

Our calls can't be recorded...there's just no way they listen in.

Americans being terrorist? Look you've got it all wrong..

Wait, how many people died? How much money spent on bombs?

Ebola? A distraction? ISIS was made by the CIA?

Maybe we should put down our phones and listen for a day.

We're modern slaves to media while the earth is being killed,

it's time to turn off the tv and turn back on our free will.
