Things Change
You were my sun on a cloudy day,
My light in the dark of the night
You were the one who picked me up
Whenever I had fallen down
The one who kept me safe,
Sheltering me from the pain
You were the one who held me close,
Telling me everything was okay
The one who never failed me,
No matter what faced us
But things change,
And in the blink of an eye,
All of that was gone
The one I thought I knew
Disappeared right before me
No longer holding me,
No longer picking me back up
Suddenly a broken soul,
Shattered into a million pieces
Laying on the ground,
Lost of all hope I found
