Winter Home
The cold bites on your skin.
You feel your muscles begin to tense up,
but you know its ony a few steps
until it's over.
You keep walking,
hands in your pockets,
head burried in your jacket,
your toes trying to be the farthest
from the tip of your shoes,
but only one though is in your head
- keep walking.
Finally, you get to the front door of your house,
you can already feel the warm fire
near your frigid skin.
The key luckily goes in
without any struggle.
Winter is then trapped
behind the door;
you are home.
