High school

Highschool
is not what I expected.
I imagined
late night parties,
having fun.
Tons of friends
that I'd be with forever.
I expected
joining clubs and sports,
being the girl everyone liked.
But I learned
that wasn't the case.
Stressful hours,
of studying,
a thousand sleepless
nights.
The friends I had
before, I no longer
have now.
I remain as quiet
as I can, afraid of
standing out.
After being here
for 2 years,
I realize
highschool is not
what I expected.
