Pale Moonlight

The moon rises above that frozen lake,
Providing enough light to keep me awake,
As the stars dance and dreams are born,
Here I lay trying to keep warm,
Waiting to hear your breath on the other end of the line,
Waiting to hear you say 'You'll always be mine'
Until then though I'll stare out at the night
Watching the snow dance , in the pale moonlight.
