A Broken Soul
You are a delicate cherry blossom
Beautiful and full of goodness
But easy to hurt once reached
You are guarded by walls of stone
Few cracks and entrances
But I have slipped through
And seen the garden on the other side
You are a foreign Prince
With your own language and costumes
And yet you choose me
The average American girl
I have not a small waist
Or am a virgin pure
And yet you call me beautiful
Strong and sure
I smile when you are joyous
I cry when you are blue
I'd sing a lullaby when You were tired
Hugs and kisses showered down
Plentiful as rain in the forest
But as precious as emeralds
I'd give to you
My sweet foreign prince
What have I done to deserve you
Me a simple girl
And you
A gentleman true
